We've had the first frost this morning.  I could see the grass sparkling as I went out for more wood for the fireplace.  It wasn't patchy, as predicted.  The gardens are really done now, I expect.  Everything was covered, and I'm hoping to go out and see it when the sun rises.

Here are some scenes from our recent visits to the Snail Place and the Swing Place.  The leaves aren't very colorful yet, and I am wondering if they will be at all.  The Foxfire books says that predicts a cold Winter, leaves falling off while not really turning.  We shall see.

For now, I want to revel in the cold and run away up high to see what it's like up there.  I'll be back later today for Crafting On.  The sun moves faster than my knitting.
