Nature School :: The October Place

As Ranger Brandy, I spent every October weekend at Hurricane Campground.  I hosted campfire programs for the hardy folks who were camping on the chilly nights.  I enjoyed this time, with the shortening days and roaring fire.  It got pretty cold sometimes!

  1. You live in such a beautiful place! And that first photo with its rainbows is really something--I suppose it was only the refraction of light, but it made me think of fairies playing around your children.:)

It has been such a warm, mild autumn here in Massachusetts, we definitely have not needed mittens yet! The gardens are still going strong with tomatoes, peppers, and roses. But the foliage is brilliantly hued just now.❤

    1. Yes, we do. :-) I like your thoughts about the rainbow--it was in every picture I took at that spot.

It has been a mixed bag here--no widespread fall color yet, which is so strange. Is your color late? We've had a few frosts this week, so that has finished off the gardens.
